An object of cultural heritage of federal significance was donated to the Orthodox parish of the Church of the Prophet of God Ilya on the Vorontsov Field of Moscow.

The history of the Church of St. Elijah the Prophet dates back to the 15th century, originally built near the village of Vorontsov in memory of the successful battle with the Tatars that took place on the day of memory of the Holy Prophet Elijah.

Later on in the place of the old church in the XVII century a new one was arranged, in the XVIII century - a large five-domed church in the Baroque style was already set up. In the XIX century, the temple was rebuilt twice.

The temple previously housed the repository of the Museum of Oriental Art, which was moved to VDNKh Square in Moscow.
