Head of the Federal Agency for State Property Management Vadim Yakovenko made a report at a meeting of the Federation Council Committee on Economic Policy
At a meeting headed by Andrei Kutepov, the implementation of the Forecast Plan (Program) for the privatization of federal property and the main directions of privatization of federal property for 2020-2022 were discussed.
In the Main Areas of the Government of the Russian Federation, within the framework of reducing the state's share in the economy, the Federal Agency for State Property Management has the task of annually reducing the number of joint stock companies with state participation and federal state unitary enterprises by at least 10%.
In the years 2020-2022, as part of the "mass" privatization, it is planned to privatize 86 federal state unitary enterprises, 186 joint-stock companies, the participation shares of the Russian Federation in 13 limited liability companies and 1168 other objects of the treasury of the Russian Federation.
"The active phase of mass privatization was completed in previous years, there are not so many objects left in the register of federal property whose shares can be sold," said Vadim Yakovenko.
Basically, a decrease in the state's share in the economy is expected due to the privatization of major assets. When it comes to major assets, Rosimushchestvo is carefully considering each potential transaction with the concerned departments and selected investment agents. Moreover, the decision to sell such assets will be made by the President and the Government of the Russian Federation.
"In this part, we focus on" smart "privatization, which involves the sale not for sale and a simple budgetary recharge, but for the sake of attracting investment in the sector, infrastructure development and strengthening of Russian market of goods and services", - stressed the head of the Federal Agency for State Property Management.
At the end of his report, the head of Rosimushchestvo noted that the expected volume of revenues to the federal budget from the "mass" privatization of federal property could amount to at least 3.6 billion rubles annually in 2020-2022.
